Governance Manager – Regulatory Body
Part-time (21 hours per week), Fixed-term (12 months), Hybrid (London)
Salary: £30,000- £36,000 (£50-60k FTE)
Overview
We’re supporting a UK regulatory body in the search for a Governance Manager to help deliver a strong and effective governance function.
This role will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of Board and Committee activity, supporting high standards of governance, transparency and accountability within a regulated environment. Key Role & Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of Board and Committee meetings, including agenda setting and coordination of papers
- Ensure meeting materials are high quality, timely and aligned with strategic and regulatory priorities
- Produce accurate minutes and track actions to ensure follow-up and accountability
- Contribute to Board and Committee effectiveness through reviews, appraisals and development activity
- Support the continuous improvement of governance processes and frameworks
- Maintain and update key governance documentation, ensuring alignment with best practice and regulatory requirements
- Assist with Board and Committee composition, including skills tracking, succession planning and onboarding
- Act as a key point of contact for governance matters, supporting communication between Board members, senior leadership and stakeholders
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience supporting or managing Board and Committee activity within a regulatory, public sector, corporate or not-for-profit environment
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, compliance and best practice
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
- Governance-related qualification (e.g. Chartered Governance Institute) desirable
