Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Company Secretary to join a well established FTSE-250 organisation. Reporting to the Group Company Secretary, this role sits in a small team of four and will lead on a variety of responsibilities from acting as secretary to the audit and risk committee to share schemes, annual report, AGM and more.
The role and key responsibilities
- Act as Secretary to the Audit and Risk Committee and a regulated entity, arranging meetings, agendas, minutes and follow up actions.
- Deputise for the Group Company Secretary as required, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Project manage the Annual Report and support the AGM.
- Manage the Group’s share plans (discretionary and all-employee) including purchases.
Experience and qualifications
- Solid experience as a Deputy Company Secretary or Senior Assistant Company Secretary, preferably within a group or multi-jurisdictional setting.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, governance standards, the listing rules, statutory compliance and global share plans.
- Professional qualifications such as CGI (Chartered Governance Institute) or equivalent are desirable.

- Strong problem-solving and judgement, with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
