We have been instructed by a leading international professional services firm to appoint a Company Secretary Manager to lead and develop its Company Secretarial function. This is a senior role combining team management, technical governance expertise, client relationship management and the strategic growth of the firm’s CoSec offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop the Company Secretarial team, overseeing workflow, resource allocation and service delivery.
- Manage key client relationships and support Partners with business development, pitches and opportunities to grow the CoSec offering.
- Provide expert advice on complex company secretarial and governance matters, including director duties, conflicts of interest, board governance, PSC matters and statutory compliance.
- Work closely with internal teams across the business to provide integrated corporate governance advice to UK and international clients.
- Drive improvements across the function, including the use of technology, development of service lines and effective management of financial performance.
What we’re looking for
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in a Company Secretarial, governance or corporate legal role, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of the Companies Act 2006, ECCTA, statutory compliance and UK corporate governance.
- Experience advising on complex governance and company secretarial matters.
- Proven team management and work allocation experience.
- Strong client management, communication and commercial skills, including experience with fee proposals and financial performance.
- CGI/ICSA qualification or law degree desirable.
