Assistant Company Secretary
£Competitive, Leeds (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
We’ve been exclusively instructed by a well-established financial services organisation based in Leeds who are seeking an experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join their team in a newly created role. The successful individual will join a small team, acting as deputy to the Company Secretary, supporting on a variety of matters from Board and sub-committee meetings to the AGM.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Chair, Chief Executive, Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) and Executive Board with matters relating to corporate governance, statutory and legislative compliance.
- Ensure governance and reporting processes are aligned with applicable regulatory requirements, including FCA‑regulated activities and wider industry governance expectations.
- Responsible for overseeing the effective planning and management of Board and sub-committee meetings, agenda planning, timely submission of reports, minute taking and ensuring actions are followed through to resolution.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of NEDs across the group.
- Taking ownership of the Annual General Meeting.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of working within an FCA regulated environment
- Excellent report writing skills and strong minute taking ability
- Experience of managing senior stakeholders
