Overview
We’re delighted to be supporting a high profile listed organisation in the appointment of an Assistant Company Secretary. The role offers genuinely broad exposure across plc, subsidiary and employee share scheme activity, working within a high-performing, collaborative team at the heart of a listed business. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced governance professional looking to make real impact.
Key roles and responsibilities
- Provide essential support to the Company Secretariat team, helping the business meet all statutory and governance obligations, including Companies Act 2006 and Listing Rule requirements
- Draft and circulate regulatory announcements to the London Stock Exchange
- Contribute to the preparation of the Annual Report and AGM documentation
- Act as secretary to committees and subsidiary companies
- Maintain and update statutory records, corporate structures and filings to ensure compliance
- Lead the administration of employee share plans
Experience and qualifications:
- CGI qualified
- Proven background operating in a UK listed environment, with good working knowledge of the UK Listing Rules, DTRs, Companies Act 2006 and the UK Corporate Governance Code
- Demonstrable experience managing employee share plans

- Calm and confident communicator, able to build effective working relationships
- Proactive, reliable and self-motivated, with a flexible and pragmatic approach
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong forward-planning skills
