Senior Consultant – Listed Clients

Overview

We have been instructed by a leading corporate governance services provider on the appointment of a Senior Consultant to join its established Corporate Governance team. This is an opportunity to provide company secretarial services and corporate governance advice to a diverse portfolio of clients, including Main Market and AIM-listed and private companies.

This role would suit an experienced company secretarial professional who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and is looking to develop their technical expertise, client relationships and commercial awareness within a professional services setting.

Please note – candidates must be CGI qualified for this vacancy, and must bring PLC governance experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert company secretarial and corporate governance advice to a varied portfolio of clients, including complex Main Market and AIM-listed companies.
• Attend and accurately minute client Board and committee meetings, and draft, prepare and review relevant governance documentation.
• Act as a key point of contact for client technical queries, developing strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and key stakeholders.
• Advise and support junior colleagues, while contributing technical knowledge through training, webinars, articles and other initiatives.
• Contribute to operational and client-related improvement projects, working collaboratively across the wider business.
• Proactively develop internal and external networks and contribute to the commercial success of the team.

What We’re Looking For

• CGI qualified, with demonstrable UK company secretarial experience and strong knowledge of UK company law, UK Listing Rules and governance best practice.
• Strong Board and committee experience, including accurate and comprehensive minute taking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven client-facing and relationship management experience.
• Highly organised with strong project management skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced professional services environment.
• Collaborative and adaptable, with the confidence to operate at Board level, build trusted client relationships and support colleagues across the team.
