Company Secretarial Assistant – Financial Services (12-month FTC)

Overview
We are seeking supporting the Private Funds team of a leading law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to be seconded full-time (five days per week) to a leading asset management client, providing hands-on experience working directly within an in-house environment while remaining part of a high-performing legal practice.
The opportunity would suit an individual with 1-2 years governance experience, with solid board support experience (including taking minutes). The client operates a hybrid working policy from their office in central London.
Key responsibilities
- Support private funds and corporate governance work, including maintaining corporate records and coordinating board and shareholder meetings.
- Manage document execution processes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and reviewing signature documentation.
- Assist with governance and administrative tasks, including minute-taking, tracking action items, and supporting audits and general team activities.
Experience & qualifications
- 1-2 years previous experience in a governance focused role
- Experience working in a bank, asset management firm or similar financial services business would be advantageous, but not essential
- Experience drafting meeting minutes will also be advantageous.
Personal qualities & behaviours
- The individual will be self-motivated, organised, interested in, and committed to providing high quality technical legal support in a practical context.
- Strong attention to detail is essential, along with excellent time management skills and a meticulous approach to work.
